I made these photos in Mom & Dad's back yard. All of her English Dogwoods were blooming, and they were beautiful. Does anyone know why they are "the Easter flower?"
I think the legend is that the Dogwood used to be a huge, strong tree, but then the cross that Jesus was crucified on was made out of it's wood, and it grew back a small, frail tree...but I think maybe because the flowers are white and shaped like a cross?
