Farmer Sara

My second attempt at gardening has been significantly more successful than my first. Last year my garden only yielded one puny tomato, which I cut in half in order to prolong the enjoyment of my labors.

Giant Elephant Ears

I'm really surprised at how tall they grew.  I will definitely plant more of these next spring.

The Arbor Is Up!

I have only planted a few things around the arbor so far.  There are banana trees in the corner along with a couple of philodendrons.  Also, I have planted some yellow jasmine to grow up the side.  The next phase of this project will be sanding and painting the swing, then I'll move on to the brick patio underneath the swing and eventually more plants.   I can't wait to enjoy my coffee out there.

Appearance Is Everything

I have these colladiums planted in pots on my back porch. They give the appearance of a mild spring day when it is actually in the low to mid 90's. So far the girls have left them alone. I guess it is more fun to dig in NaNa's plants.
